 hy is it such a devastating problem in our time? What might the Christian 
 story have to say about what addiction is and how it is healed? This works
 hop aims to engage the contemporary addictions crises through the lens of 
 a Christian understanding of what it means to be a person. We will conside
 r foundational questions of the nature of addiction\, empowering Christian
 s to think freshly about this challenging issue\, with courage\, creativit
 y\, and hope. We will also discuss how Christian communities should care\,
  hope\, and pray for our family members and neighbors with addictions.\nPr
 esenter: Dr. Quentin Genuis is an emergency physician and ethicist at St.
  Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver\, Canada. He serves as the physician ethic
 ist for Providence Health Care\, and is a Sessional Faculty and the Profes
 sional in Residence at Regent College in Vancouver\, where he teaches on t
