Nursery Care
Nursery care is available from 10:20 am until the end of the worship service.
- Baby Nursery: Birth to walking confidently (main floor). This room is a quiet space for nursing moms and caregivers with a changing table, private bathroom, and the service playing on the tv.
- Toddler Nursery: Confident walkers – 3 years old (Kids Ministry wing)
Preschool
Preschool is available from 10:20 am until the end of the worship service for children ages 3 to 5. Children learn through song, play, and age-appropriate Bible teaching.
Kids' Church
Children in Kindergarten through Grade 5 begin the worship service with their families and are invited to Kids' Church before the sermon.
Kids' Church includes Bible teaching, music, games, activities, and small-group learning designed for each age group. We currently use The Gospel Project curriculum for Preschool through Grade 4 and Be Bold! for Grade 5.
If you're visiting for the first time, look for our children's ministry volunteers in purple shirts. They'll be happy to help you register and find the right classroom.
Stay Connected
Parents can subscribe to our weekly Kids' Church curriculum newsletter to see what their children are learning each week and continue the conversation at home. Email the office | office@centralbaptistchurch.ca with "please subscribe Kids@Home" in the subject line.
Safety
Your child's safety is important to us.
All volunteers who work with children are carefully screened, complete a criminal record check, and serve in accordance with our Plan to Protect child safety policy.
To help keep children safe and give parents peace of mind, we use a secure electronic check-in system. When you arrive:
- Families sign-in in at the welcome desk in the lobby.
- Each child receives a name tag, and the parent or guardian receives a matching security label.
- Children are checked into their classroom when they arrive.
At pick-up, the matching security label is required before a child is released to their parent or authorized guardian. Our check-in system is designed to securely identify children and match them with the correct parent or guardian at pickup.
If you're visiting for the first time, we'll be happy to help you register and get checked in.
Urban Adventures
Urban Adventures is a fun and exciting week of day camp for children, filled with live music, games, crafts, out trips and learning about Jesus through the Bible.
Our 2026 theme was “Illumination Station”, inspired by Jesus’ words:
“I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.” – John 8:12.
Throughout the week, children explored how Jesus brings light into our lives and what it means to follow Him. See some of the highlights here!
Urban Adventures is open to children entering grades 1 to 7 in the fall.
Registration for 2027 will open in early March. We hope you’ll join us!

Kids to Camp
We believe every child should have the opportunity to experience a Christian summer camp. Camps like Camp Qwanoes and Camp Imadene give children the chance to grow in their faith, build lasting friendships, and create lifelong memories.
To help make camp possible, Central Baptist Church offers financial assistance to families who may not otherwise be able to afford the cost of attending.
To see if your child is eligible for assistance read the following criteria:
- applicant has attended Central for at least 2 months
- if not attending Central, is related to a person who regularly attends Central
- registered for Camp Qwanoes, Camp Imadene, or other Christian summer camp
- a child may not be supported by this fund more than three times
- support amounts will be determined on a case-by case basis, but in principle will not be the entire cost of the camp
To apply, complete the Camp Fee Support Application using the online form or download and return a printed copy to the church office.
