We are so grateful for the recent news of the Province’s 4-step plan to reopen over summer, and especially the plan to fully return in September. With so many unknowns, we will take it one step at a time, but want to communicate our initial reopening plan.

Central’s re-opening team has met and considered several factors in resuming in-person gatherings:

  1. Currently, Dr. Henry has granted a variance to allow for indoor gatherings of up to 50 people.  However, the 50 people includes all staff and volunteers. It takes approximately 20-25 staff and volunteers to lead a hybrid service of in-person and livestream, so we could only have 25-30 of our people join an in-person service on the main floor.
  2. There is no singing permitted even while masked and music teams are limited to a total of five people.
  3. Our new broadcast room at the top of the balcony is currently being dry walled.  Work here may close the balcony for additional seating until the messy work is completed on June 20th.
  4. Finally, the variance for in-person services may change when step 2 of the Province’s plan comes into effect on June 15th.

Considering these factors, we plan to reopen on Sunday, June 27th.  More details will be provided, especially after the new orders for step 2 are given on June 15th.  Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate this unique season of life.  We are so grateful for how God continues to work in and through our church family and look forward to seeing each one of you as our Province opens up.
