Welcome!

Welcome to Central Baptist Church!

It is our hope that you find Central to be a place where you are challenged and supported to grow spiritually so that you can influence your community and the world for the glory of God. You will find opportunities for all age groups to connect and grow in your faith as well as volunteer at Central and in our community.

There is a lot happening at the church on Sundays and throughout the week, including Neighbourhood Market, Family Group, and epic Youth nights. You can find the upcoming events on the printed worship folder Sunday mornings, on our website, or on the Church Center app. You can also subscribe to kids ministry, youth, and young adults emails for the most up to date information about our events.

This page gives a brief overview of some of our events. For more information, emails are provided or contact the church office (office@centralbaptistchurch.ca).

Kids Ministries

Club 456: Central’s version of a Jr. Youth Group for kids in grades 4, 5, & 6. Kids meet at the church for fun activities like Nerf Wars, Human Bowling, Sock Golf, and more! Meets every other Friday night from 7 - 9pm throughout the school year. (Contact our Children’s Ministry Director, Tom Drinkwater – children@centralbaptistchurch.ca)

Youth: Grades 7-12 are in for an awesome mix of fun, teaching, and discipleship. From spikeball to sardines, you never know what to expect when it comes to games. Talks are relevant and applicable. Youth meets every Friday night throughout the school year unless otherwise noted. (Contact our Youth Director, Eric – eric@centralbaptistchurch.ca)

Kids Church (Sundays): For children who are in kindergarten through to Grade 6. Children sit with their parents for the first portion of the worship service and are dismissed to Kids Church at approximately 11 am. There will be people in the lobby to give directions to the classrooms.

For the young kids, childcare is available for children up to age 4 (Nursery – up to age 1; Toddlers – age 1 to 2 1⁄2; Preschool – age 2 1⁄2 to 4) for the entire worship service. Connect with Guest Services for directions to the classrooms.

Family Group

Wednesdays at 5:30 pm families meet for a pot-luck dinner. After the plates are cleared, kids are dismissed to their own program (including childcare for the little ones) while parents have a Bible study or group discussion on relevant topics.

Young Adults

Young Adults ministry has a variety of scheduled faith-based discussions and prayer, lunches with guest speakers, and worship nights, as well as informal group events like hiking, board games, and service opportunities. Whether you just want to be an attendee, or you’d like to join the leadership team, you are welcome! (ya@centralbaptistchurch.ca)

Prime Timers

Our seniors meet on the first Friday of the month for lunch and a short program with guest speakers. Lunches alternate between catered and pot-luck.

International Fellowship

International Fellowship hosts a pot-luck lunch once a month after the Sunday service. Everyone is welcome to join. Come meet people from around the world!
